We all know stress and its effect on overall wellness is a growing issue.

Some stress is natural and good for us. However, when stress begins to undermine our mental and physical health, it is no longer good.

While there’s no way to completely eradicate stress, we can equip you with tools to help you combat its effects through the ancient practice of Mindful Rest Yoga Nidra.

Mindful Rest Yoga Nidra is an ancient transformative practice of deep relaxation and meditative inquiry. Yoga Nidra is a simple, yet profound, systematic technique of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation.

This 50 Hour Certification provides an understanding of the theory of Yoga Nidra in both yogic and scientific terms, as well as various applications to be used for deep relaxation, stress management, chronic pain, anxiety and depression, insomnia, PTSD, and releasing negative emotions and thought patterns.

Yoga Nidra can be successfully used in personal practice, yoga classes, social work, massage and physical therapy, as well as alternative and integrative practices.

Training Includes:

  • Hybrid training format: Prerecorded video via course platform and live Zoom classes

  • Comprehensive Digital Training Manual

  • Mindful Rest Yoga Nidra Script Cards

  • Development of the skills to lead groups and individuals in a Mindful Rest Yoga Nidra practice

  • At least 10 practices of Mindful Rest Yoga Nidra!

  • An in-depth understanding of the therapeutic benefits of practice

  • How this ancient practice is the antidote to our modern stress

  • An in-depth understanding of yogic philosophy, psychology and history

  • 50 Yoga Alliance Accredited Hours which can be used as Continuing Education credits or towards a 500 Hour Training Certificate

  • Samskara and the Cycle of Karma

  • Stress and the Autonomic Nervous System

  • Physiological Benefits of Yoga Nidra

  • States of Consciousness and Brainwaves

  • Yoga Nidra and the Brain

  • Creating and Working with Intentions-Sankalpa

  • The Structure for Facilitating

  • Using Scripts and Designing Practices

  • Yoga Nidra for Speciic Populations

  • Delivery Methodology

Training Schedule:

April 30 - May 2 and June 11 - 13, 2021 with 2 Wednesday Evening Sessions May 19 and June 2.

Weekend

  • Friday: 5:30pm - 8:00pm

  • Saturday: 9:00am - 12:00pm and 2:00pm - 5:00pm

  • Sunday: 9:00am - 12:00pm and 2:00pm - 4:30pm

Midweek

  • Wednesday Evening Zoom Classes 5:30pm - 7:30pm

    All training times based in PST (Pacific Standard Time)

Breakdown of Training Hours:

  • 32 Hours live Zoom instruction

  • 18 Hours home study consisting of prerecorded lectures, reading and homework assignments including practice teaching and final practicum
